Smarty Errors and PHP v5+
  • When I access my localhost site, using xampp I get this  error:
eprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in C:\xampp\htdocs\flatpress-master\fp-includes\smarty\Smarty_Compiler.class.php on line 270

now...if i refresh the page,i dont get the error.what is that? Also is FP php5+ compatible?
  • Hi, the error doesn't occour anymore because the template has been cached.
FP works with any version of PHP from 5 and above (AFAIK at a certain moment PHP 4 compatibility has been dropped, but PHP had ceased support for it since a few years before) to last version (5.6.8, at the moment). I'm using it on my site with PHP 5.6.6 and I haven't problems...
  • thanks for the reply
