i run my blog for a couple of month - still 0.9.xx, but latest 0.9. today i want to create a new article with ff 4.0 and as i press preview nothing happens (i run ff 4 / chrome 10.x / safari 5.x on mac os x 10.6.7). so i did a lot: check file permission and so.
editing an existing article works fine! so i tried the latest version of flatpress, same issue - no new articles. so i tried the latest version of flatpress on my webserver ... same issue again.
ok ... now try this with chrome 10.x - same issue. :-( but with safari 5.0.4 it works fine! then i tried it with ff 3.6 ... works great. again, very strange. on ff 4 i disabled all plugins, still the same issue.
then i tried the same with a different blog (flatpress 0.9.x - but latest version 0f 0.9.x) ... strange, there it works with all of the three browsers.
so whats the difference? the webserver (php), the browser ... but why this still works with safari and 3.6 ff?
I've just tested Firefox 4 both with 'ajaxadmin' plugin and both disabled and preview works... chrome 10 seems to work too. I guess there might be some conflicting plugin in your setup.
Try to install FP from scratch and see if the problem persists
OK ... but why i can still create new articles with ff 3.6 and safari 5? i will check the plugin interaction on flatpress next week ... for now i have to use safari ;-)
So, the bad guy is the "DateChanger" PlugIn which lets you change creation date/time for new entries by Marcoverga86 @ v2.1. When i disable this plugin everything works greate! so if Marcoverga86 could fix this i would be happy.
I've got the same problem with FF4 and IE 8 on WinXP. I disabled the DateChanger and can now add new posts and change the added posts. But I can't change older posts (made with the DateChanger enabled).
you can still edit the entries with notepad++ or so, just download them via ftp, edit and upload them. dont know if plugin from NoWhereMan works with old entries, never tried.
what's happening exactly when you try to edit such posts? they shouldn't be any different from "regular" posts (they are *not* marked as "datechanged" post)
