FlatPhoto is a FlatPress plug-in I have created to post photos to a FlatPress blog. I have made a big emphasis in taking advantage of the photo meta data (EXIF and IPTC) so it is possible to generate entire posts out from an image's meta data alone.
FlatPhoto 0.1alpha is functional but not thoroughly tested jet so you should use it with caution.
Download it here. Or you can find it through the wiki.

There are several features still missing, maybe the most important of which is some sort of "gallery view": some place where all pictures are presented in thumbnails and every thumb links to the corresponding post.
Internationalization is not jet implemented and I want to add a way to change the appearance of the posts with css. I have not found a good way of doing this so if someone can offer help it would be great.
Also I am a bit concerned about the security and general "correctness" of the code since I have found my way around FlatPress by reading other plug-ins or FlatPress itself, maybe NoWhereMan or someone else could take a look to be sure everithing is ok.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,

Sorry about that. Sounds like you need to enable inline html. I will try to avoid the need for this in the future.

    Hello again

I have checked and it was in fact the inline html issue what you were seeing. I have fixed this now and you no longer need to have inline html enabled please download the fixed version.

Lent me know of your impressions.

    Thanks

    Hello lantaca

Just to be sure we understand each other: Does everything work ok with JPGs? Do you only get this message for PNGs?

I have found this on the php manual
Your PHP must be compiled in with --enable-exif. PHP does not require any additional library for the exif module. Windows users must also have the mbstring extension enabled.

Are you sure you have the EXIF module enabled?

    thanks for your help

Ok. The problem is that PNG doesn't support exif so no metadata will be available.

I have uploaded a revised version that doesn't try to read the metadata on files other than JPG so you wont have this problem, although you will still need the exif module enabled. You can download the revised version from here.

Simply upload the plugin under fp-plugins/plugin-name and then go to the admin area and activate the plugin...
