Excellent and amazing - that's almost exactly what I need at this very moment. I'm in the middle of re-jigging my side bar and my long list of categories was bugging me. I actually came on here to see if there was a "Poll" plugin so I could ask my visitors (a very restricted group) how they'd feel if I removed it.

Looks great - I have a lot of (as yet) unused categories, so this is even more useful. Do you know if it's possible only to show those categories with a post count greater than 0 ?

    Thanks for the plugin!

Yes, it is. As you can see in the source code, I used the word cloud code from http://www.lotsofcode.com/php/tag-cloud.htm and modified it a bit. In this class you can set a maximum number of categories to be displayed.

But you're right... categories with 0 entries shouldn't be displayed. I'll update this...

Edit: Unused categories should not be displayed! You confused me! :-)

Sorry Paul - I am an idiot! I just realised that it was doing what you just said, and what I wanted. Nice touch with the number of posts showing when you hover over the links, and setting the maximum number of categories to be displayed might be useful too.

Thanks again, and sorry for confusing you.

I've installed tag-cloud plugin on my flatpress (version 0.909), enabled it on plugin side and put it on Widgets. Now Tags is appeared on right of my webside (www.warsintheworld.com), but there is not written any. I've written another article, but nothing. I need to configure "wordcloud.class.php" or "plugin.tagcloud.php" or doing something else ?

    Thank you

You only have "Unfiled" as category, nothing else. You need to manage your categories and assign your posts to them to make a tag cloud appear.

Hey Paul, have you seen the WP cumulus 3D rotating tagcloud? It's cool!

I happened to run into someone using it here... DEMO

No idea if it's possible to get that to work with FP but, you being the cloud expert and all... :p
