I already read (before) that post ..the problem is that EVEN i kow a little PHP , that post is too tecnikal ( or complex) for me. It is not a definitive version of that script or plugin, it require some modification as I see.
I will do my best to understand that script.

    Thanks

as far as I know those script parse a group of email you already received, in mbox format, into a bunch of FP posts, which is not what aladin is asking for: he would like to send an email to some address and then having FP to publish that incoming message as a post.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid, but this at the moment is not possible (as in "there is currently no pre-built solution" not as in "you'll never ever be able to do such a thing").

    bye

    Yes you are right.

I think i will try to spam my blog( my self) in order to post automaticaly. I will search or develop a such script.

I can not understand why if I put a entry text file ( like.. entry090613-015840.txt) in the right format in the content folder the blog does not read it. There are another variabile to set excep that file ..?
If I coud make it work I will tri to automatize the upload of the new articles thru ftp to that folder

    Thank alot

indices must be updated in order for a text file to be displayed, that's why you should write a trigger script to call FP own entry_save() function, which would handle the entire thing. Alternatively you can rebuild the entire index each time a new file/post is created but I wouldn't recommend it (you can find the 'rebuild index' command in the maintainance panel of the admin area).

I have done something similar a few years ago for a news cms.

    The solution I used is:
    1) destinate an email box to be the email2blog address with eg pop3
    2) create a script that access that address and downloads the email, then verifies it (valid remitent, size &c) parses it and format it to FP format and do the steps to "post it"
    3) add a cron job to run that script every 30 mins or whatever you like.

It would be nice a FP class script to automatize this, or some way to post via PHP script (something like $h->Title="mytitle"; $h->Content="my content"; $h->Post() and it calls all the required functions as if posted from the browser. I still haven't looked out the FP source to get how is the complete process

i posted here a miniscript that works for me.
I added a cron to it every 60 minutes and set a gmail very private account (custom domain), all emails that reach the inbox got posted.
it messes most bbcode, but for plain text it works good.

in the admin panel the post are listed as a number like "4781", but when editting them or rebuilding the index they got normal.

sounds very nice, even though the problem with the title sounds like a problem with the update of the index, which is strange.
    your script looks fine :/

    congrats, you've found a cute bug :)

here's the updated version http://pastebin.com/m782fdb46 what I did is just commenting out the category array: if you force category 0, the index will be corrupted: the reason is index 0 is treated in a particular way: usually it is *always* updated, and it is never set in the categories field: assuming this won't ever happen, if you force it, you'll update the same index twice...

by the way, the workaround it's just *not* setting that field (or filing under different categories, of course ;)

another tip, while the cronjob is good, there is another way, if you happen to have access to your server, see:
