i would like to know how to make external link!
i have to modify the static file "links" to add-remove link, and i have done it.
i put a new link like this
[*]google
it's working, but open google in the same window! i would link that he open google in a new windows, as the code with target="blank" do with html
how can i do to resolve it?

With XHTML 1.0 strict you can't use the "target" element.

Change in the header.tpl of your chosen theme the DocType to:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

Then next step, change your "target="blank" to

Don't forget the "underscore".

the new version will add a class ('link-external' IIRC) to links beginning with http:// ; this way you'll be able to hook them with mootools via

externallinks = $$('')

really, you can still accomplish the same behaviour already (always via js)

actually the css class is really intended to style in a different way those classes so that you're visually informed of their nature of external links (for instance an icon as in wikipedia or on our wiki)

@laborix: i have done as you said me, but still not working! i change the header row and upload the new file. then, i go to edit my link and i wrote
[*]google
but still not working...

@NoWhereMan: i haven't really understand what you said me to do (also in italian if you want ;) )

@everybody: another question: how can i change the order of the right area? for example, how to put the categories as the first element?
