hi to everybody!
i have some problem to install my flatpress forum!
i have my website on an aruba server, and i have upload all the file with filezilla.
then, i selected all the file and set the permiss on 777, select the apply to all subfolder option and gave ok.
he done everything, all successfull.
but, when i try to install it, in the web site i can read

As a very first step we really need the FP_CONTENT directory to be chmodded at 0777 (0766 may be good as well).

OK! Writing files to FP_CONTENT:

* Copying default global configuration... FAILED
* Copying default plugin configuration... FAILED
* Copying default widget configuration... FAILED
* Creating cache dir... FAILED
* Creating sample content... FAILED

and if i proced with the install he complete all but not write the file, so when i open again the blog, i have again the install page!
so, i went to check the permiss with filezilla, and i can read that it's again 666!
can somebody help me? why he don't put the permiss to 777? what can i do?
waiting for help...
thanks
giovanni

Have you tried to install FlatPress before setting the permission to 777?

yes, it was no that!
i solve it!
it's not my site: i have a linux server and all work perfect! this is the server of a friend of mine, and i discover is a windows server.
so, i can set the permiss just in 2 folder.
i move everything there and it's all working!
thanks and sorry for the matter!
