Which is the best way to make quick revsion updates after I download a new nightly SVN build?

Can I transfer the new files with "override" option to the webspace, clear the cache subdirectory and all is done?

Should I backup the fp-content, delete all files on the webspace, transfer the new files and then install the new SVN revision?

I'm not sure how I can quick and easy update the nightly SVN builds.

I know this ways for the stable Flatpress, including 0.703.6.2. But last days NoWhereMan was really busy as a bee :D

So I ask me, is it possible to update faster than the method for the stable Flatpress versions.

actually I've been very busy because (if you read the blog) I've upgraded my own home page and it's been quite a mess, so I'm trying to fix all the bug that YOU people should have already reported!! >:( >:( !!

just kidding ;) if you're brave enough you can of course download from the usual package, then you can update the package using the subversion tool. Under linux you just have to install it, then cd to the directory of flatpress and issuing a 'svn up' (update) command.

you can download a whole copy using

    svn co

for windows there's the command line client, but also a freeware gui client called TortoiseSVN which should allow you to do the same things; I think it would even allow to left click on the directory and call 'update' from there, but I don't know really, I tried TortoiseCVS once, got tired and switched again to the command line client :P

btw, you can have a look, I'm sure there's plenty of guides out there

    have fun ^_^
