    Just installed Flatpress and ensured that fp-content is chmod'ed to 0777. It wouldn't let me install unless this was done anyway. The installation appears to be successful but when I login I get the following warning:

    Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "./fp-interface/sharedtpls/login.tpl" in fp-includes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

    My site is at http://www.sinc.stonybrook.edu/stu/cayala/flatpress/

    Any ideas?

    wrong permissions in fp-interface/sharedtpls/* or one of the parent directories, or the file is missing because of a corrupt package; in this case redownloading the package and reupload will probably solve the issue

    I got the latest package straight from sf.net and I untar it straight on my server. I've been trying to do clean installs for the past few days now but I always come up with that same error. I don't remembering the installer instructing me to change permissions for fp-interface or anything in that folder but I changed it anyway and I still get the same results.

    Anything else that can be done?

    is your server chrooted ? I think this might be a reason for the system to fail to detect the correct path

    try changing the value of ABS_PATH (in defaults.php) to

    define('ABS_PATH', '');

    or

    define('ABS_PATH', '/');

    otherwise, change ABS_PATH to the actual path of your flatpress directory on the server
    e.g.

    define('ABS_PATH', '/var/www/flatpress/');

    (IIRC trailing slash is needed)

    bye, HTH

    Yea, I believe it is chrooted. I modified the ABS_PATH in defaults.php to
    define('ABS_PATH', '/www/Stu/cayala/flatpress/');
    Works perfectly now. Thanks!
