    Hi all!

    I'm trying to move my fp installation from one server to another. I tar/gzipped the whole directory on the original server and untar/gzipped it on the new server. I can reach the main page and the admin panel and everything is all working wonderfully.

    however, when i try to drill into a post, i get errors:

    ----------------
    Not Found
    The requested URL /2010/05/14/blog-title/comments/ was not found on this server.
    ----------------
    and in the apache error log:
    ----------------
    [Fri Sep 03 13:51:54 2010] [error] [client 74.213.186.41] File does not exist: /var/www/html/domain.com/2010, referer: http://test.domain.com/
    ---------------------

    On the old server, I don't have such problems. Also, on the old server, there is no /2010 directory in the fp directory.

    I think/thought it might be related to prettyurls, but I can't figure out what's wrong with it. I have enabled orverrides and my .htaccess file has:
    (and yes, mod_rewrite is loaded)

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    any ideas?

    thanks!

    First solution:
    Use an FTP program to delete all files in the /fp-content/cache directory. Try again

    Next try this one;
    Use an FTP program an delete all files in the /fp-content/index directroy. Then login, switch to the admin panel and there to Maintaince. Choose "Rebuild index" and try again.

    If this not work, please, do following:

    - setup Flatpress on your new location
    - move the complete content of /fp-content/ to your new location fp-content dir
    - active PrettyUrls plugin an save the standard .htaccess file (PrettyUrls Plugin)
    - rebuild the index

    If this work fine for you, so add all your plugins from your old installation to the new location. Do this also with your preferred theme.
