    Hello everyone,

I'm new - This is my first post, so I'm excited.

While I was searching the forum for blog integration I found that thread:
    http://www.flatpress.org/forums/comments.php?DiscussionID=996
telling me looking to that site:
    http://www.dhtmlgoodies.com/scripts/dragable-boxes/dragable-boxes.html

In deed thats the basic Idea for what I'm looking...

    • Using RSS Information

    • Using a different style instead of the flatpress style through a css file(?)

    • Its tiny! (Which is cool)

Now the problem is, neither the thread on the forum nor the dhtmlgoodies.com site show me a instruction how to do that. Unfortunatly I'm pretty bad in php. And I'm totaly new in blogging, but I like the Idea to use a blog as well as as a news script!

    Can anyone help me?

Thank you so much! I really love Flatpress!

PS. I couldn't donate more nowhereland because I also need to support wikileaks ;)

    Welcome!

Heh! What you're asking is something I keep meaning to take a look at for myself, but haven't got much time to spare these days.

As I recall, their draggable boxes one uses Magpie RSS. I did have a play around with this some time ago but configuring it for use on my own server was troublesome - so I shoved it to the bottom of my list of priorities.

I've since used the SimplePie plugin for FlatPress, which might be of interest to you. That certainly worked, but not perfectly - I had trouble restricting the number of articles being displayed when I had more than one feed. I redesigned my site recently and haven't plugged that one back in again - I was going to examine it in a bit more detail to see if it could be used with this draggable boxes thing.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I really need something like Opera Portal (which is a similar idea) before I spend any time on it.

Well SimplePie looks great. I'll take a closer look to it. Maybe they have a tutorial or a guy asking in the forum for integrate simplepie in a website ;)

I don't care for dragability (does the word exist?) - I care for displaying RSS Feeds on my websites, damn sounds so easy, doesn't it?

    Goo goo g'joob!
