I'd like to know if is possible to add comments to a static page... Because if this is possible making a guestbook would be very very easy!
If this is not possible, I found a guestbook plugin on wordpress that's very nice (this is the link to the page), and I'm asking to you all if someone is able to port this plugin to FP (I tried but I wasn't able to make it...) maybe with its own page under "config page" in admin panel...

    I know, that's why it's planned.

Not doable. The FP panel does not work the same way as WP, and by the way this plugin (well, obviously) uses MySQL.

    I didn't notice that, sorry!

If I insert comment_block in static.tpl the page shows me comments relative to last entry , because {$id} refers to that... I'd like to "link" static page name (not title!) to {$id}, so that comments would refer to that page, but I can't figure out how to make it work right!

yes, that's how it will probably work, once implemented, now that it's not, it won't. The problem is that entries and static pages are different entities and therefore it is slightly different dealing with them. I would use a common interface, but that part of FP is not object oriented, so I would have to add switch/cases or create an entire new series of commands just for comments-to-static-pages.

The task of adding comments it's theoretically trivial; the task of doing it so that everything is nice is not, and that's what stopping me from implementing it right now.

    Bye

Understood... I'll wait for this! It's not necessary, it was just a thought of mine...

    Thanks, NWM!

    Hi,
I have the same marcoverga86's problem!
I want to add a guestbbok, but I found a plugin in altervista, and I have only to include this into the php code!
    Now the problem:
I'm not so able with php, so can u suggest me about a way to put it into my page in a best manner than now?

Notice that now, i put it into a static, but if I want to include it into a header or foot, for example?
    Can u suggest me something?

    Thanks a lot!
